September is Suicide Awareness Month

September is Suicide Awareness Month

This month we need to spread awareness of the prevalence of suicide. It's a horrible subject but one that has touched many lives. Five years ago, I remember getting the call from my son that one of his best friends was no longer with us, that day changed his young life and the lives of so many forever. Unfortunately this is not an isolated story, the crushing emptiness and the numerous unanswered questions, left behind when a loved one leaves us so tragically are devastating to the soul. We need to shed as much light on this subject and support any and all resources to help save as any lives as we can. In all things, we must think globally and act locally, so in my effort to spread awareness, this month's "cause box" will go to support the Ross Griffin Memorial Foundation, a very near and dear to me foundation that is helping young people in Ohio.

The "Fly High" box has a 100g skein of our gorgeous blue color-way in either fingering or DK weight yarn on our Buckeye base and our small hand poured coconut/soy was candle to match. This delightful scent of the same name has hints of sage, lavender and the salty sea air. Don't knit or crochet but want to help the cause, we offer our large Fly High candle without the yarn. Each candle is poured in our beautifully hand crafted concrete vessel, also in the signature blue color-way. Click over to the website to check it out and support this cause.
